Hiring criteria
Speed, Seta, Martin, Trivett, Stubley, and Fickling is a regional civil defense firm operating in multiple states in the southeast. We are seeking a well-rounded associate attorney to join out Columbia office which handles civil litigation and workers compensation cases in North and South Carolina.
We offer the opportunity to work for a regional firm with a small firm atmosphere.
Ideal candidates would preferrably have experience in insurance and/or workers compensation defense. This position will primarily involve defending carriers and employers against workers’ compensation claims.
Common duties involve: conducting discovery, preparaing status updates for adjustors, working with pro-se claimants and claimant’s attorneys, conducting depositions, negotiating settlement, appearing for settlement conferences, and litigating workers compensation hearing before SCWCC Commissioners.
Salary will be comensurate with experience.
Bar admittance in NC is preferred but not required.
