Review and respond to consumer complaints
Research state statutes and case law related to a variety of topics including Homeowners Associations, Real Estate, Timeshares, Licensing Requirements and provide clear and concise summaries of findings in memorandum
Assist with ensuring compliance with state and local statutes by obtaining and maintaining the proper licensing and registrations for timeshare plans, telemarketing activities, real estate licenses, business licenses, state registrations, etc.
Provide advice on legal issues including, resort operations, risk management, consumer complaints and commercial contracts
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with a balance of risk mitigation and business-orientation
Develop and deliver appropriate legal training to business team members

Hiring criteria
Minimum three (3) years of experience in real estate or as in-house counsel
Admission to a state bar required
Law Degree required
Strong ability to conduct thorough legal research on a variety of topics
Excellent legal writing skills for drafting various legal documents, including memoranda, commercial contracts, corporate documents, etc.
Ability to adapt quickly and work with minimal supervision and have a creative approach to problem-solving
Communicate ideas effectively and concisely and collaborate with Senior Leadership and Departments throughout the company
Ability to develop strong, positive working relationships with the business and legal teammates
Familiarity with HOA, real estate, or timeshare-related state law is a plus
